I’m 18 and just starting my first year at a technical university. Sketching is where I go to hit pause. With a pencil in hand, my mind settles, and feelings I can’t quite name find their way onto the page as shapes and lines. Then there’s the violin: years of practice have shown me what steady effort and patience really mean, and how a melody can say things no sentence ever could. And sometimes the best thing is the simplest: a stroll after dark, when the streets empty out, the noise fades, and the whole city seems to breathe differently.
