I have a terrible habit of making little bets about completely unimportant things. Which elevator will arrive first? Will the next person walking past be wearing something blue? Can I keep a straight face for thirty seconds? I take these challenges far more seriously than I should. And when I lose, I usually invent a very convincing explanation for why the rules were unfair. I'm not a sore loser. I'm just extremely creative with excuses.

I think introductions are more fun when they're a little unusual. So here's my idea. You tell me two things about yourself. One is true. One is completely made up. I'll try to guess which is which. If I get it right, you owe me a compliment. If I get it wrong, you get to ask me something. And if we both end up laughing? I'd say that's a pretty good beginning. 💕

I'm not particularly good at acting mysterious. If something makes me happy, you'll probably see it all over my face. If I'm curious about you, I'll start asking questions. And if you say something funny, there's a very good chance I'll laugh much louder than necessary. I can be a little shy at first, but once I'm comfortable, I become much more talkative and cheeky. I think the best people are the ones you can be silly with one minute and have a real conversation with the next. Maybe we'll get along better than either of us expects.

A while ago, I decided it would be fun to learn a few simple magic tricks. In my imagination, I looked incredibly elegant and mysterious. In reality, I spent twenty minutes looking for a coin that had rolled under the sofa. I'm getting better, though. I can sometimes make a card disappear, and I'm especially talented at making snacks disappear. The second skill is much more reliable. If you know a simple trick, teach me. Or tell me about the most impressive thing you've ever seen someone do.

You know what's attractive? A man who doesn't need to prove how impressive he is. Someone who can make a clever joke without being mean. Who notices the little things. Who knows how to flirt without turning every sentence into a pickup line. I have a soft spot for genuine attention and unexpected kindness. And if you manage to surprise me with a compliment I haven't heard a hundred times before, I might get adorably quiet for a moment. It doesn't happen very often. Enjoy it while it lasts. 🤭
